Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord

Thursday, May 26 is the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord in the ecclesiastical provinces of Boston, Hartford, New York, Newark, Omaha, and Philadelphia, while all other ecclesiastical provinces of the United States of America, the Diocese of Grand Rapids included, have transferred this Solemnity to the following Sunday, May 29. In those archdioceses and dioceses, Thursday, May 26 is observed as the Memorial of Saint Philip Neri, Priest.
