Happy Easter!

Christ indeed from death is risen, our new life obtaining. Have mercy, victor King, ever reigning!
(from the Sequence victimae paschali laudes)

From our Sunday celebration of Christ’s resurrection to Pentecost, the 50 days of Easter are characterized, above all, by the joy of glorified life and the victory over death. For Christians, Easter means death points toward life, not away from it. Let us eagerly seek renewal and hope in Christ’s resurrection, directing our minds and hearts to what is above during this Easter season and always! As we celebrate Christ’s victory over sin and death through the resurrection, we pray especially this Easter season for peace.
